My first experience as a volunteer was here at the hotel with Pepe. From day 1 he was very hospitable and laid-back. The working hours and days off were fulfilled without problems and he always did his best to make us feel comfortable. I got to know places I didn't know existed, the hotel's facilities could be used without restrictions and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Bermellar is a very small village with not much to do but Pepe knows many places to explore and they are incredible, such as swimming at the border between Portugal and the Spain. I recommend it 100%.

Pepe is a great host; not only is his project very nice, but you can also see his commitment to the development of the village.
The tasks are very simple: a few hours in the field making bundles for firewood and then a bit of housekeeping. In the spare moments we could use the hotel's facilities and visit sites near the village that Pepe himself took us to see.
The only thing to bear in mind is that it is really a village and mobility is difficult. It is ideal if you enjoy tranquility and want to disconnect for a few days. I really recommend it and I would come back.

The experience in Bermellar was good, the work was manageable and the neighbors I met were charming.
