The Experience

Every year put together a team of 8 to help us bring in the harvest. We aim to offer a unique and memorable experience. The harvest will be in September and runs for approximately 3 weeks. Typically half of these are rest days and the other half we work full days. Volunteers will be working alongside experienced pickers, will need to be physically fit and prepared to work long hours on picking days

It is such an amazing experience here at Chateau Civrac. The working hours are as communicated in advance. The cohort is very cheering and welcoming. Alex is very helpful and knowledgeable. I would love to come back in the future.

Spent about a month at Château Civrac. I was able to learn a lot about the local French community and the wine the winery. Alex is a very dedicated small-business owner. Some tasks can get repetitive depending on when you are staying there. Alex is an honest and flexible host too.

Me and my friend had a great time! It is a really beautiful (isolated) place in the nature and it is interesting to help and work in the process of winemaking next to the winery! The work on the field can be physically demanding (especially because we had a heat wave during our stay) but the working hours are fair and it makes fun as you get more skilled over the weeks. Alex is a fair host who takes care that the volunteers have what they need. I would recommend to everyone who wants to have some calmer time in the nature and is interested in wine plants and their growing.

I spend three really nice weeks at Alex's place. He communicated well with us regarding the tasks, varied them & adapted the working hours to the heat. If you want to visit the winery you should be comfortable with living a simple life in a rustic place, having small insects around & doing physically demanding work (might've been extra hard because of the heat, I think you can do it). When it got hot during the day the bedroom was still really warm at night. Alex has his own way of handling things but he tries to pay attention to your needs. We got along well, had some nice conversations.

I had a nice stay here. The working hours were well respected and I had fun learning a little about the production of wine. the winery is in a beautiful location and is a great place to stay if you are looking to relax and spend time in nature! Thanks again Alex!
