We are an animal shelter with two locations centered around the picturesque town of Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines. In this position you are helping us to get the attention of the general public for donations, goodwill, more volunteers etc. as well as care for the animals. There are many undiscovered sights in the area, despite the proximity of the busy and well-known tourist destination Boracay (still worth a day trip at 70km or 2 hours one way).

This has been a meaningful experience for me. It was nice to see how the staff look after and take care of the dogs, and cats in the shelter. They do their best everyday.
My favorite part was going with the caretakers and taking the dogs for a walk by the river, it was a bit tiring but seing how the dogs enjoyed it, makes the long morning walk by the river worthwhile.
Day-to-day life is simple, the staff and caretakers were really nice. The dogs are all adorable. I encourage other volunteers to do work exchange in this shelter. This experience is amazing.

My experience volunteering at the shelter & the shelter was amazing. What was being done there for the animals is truly meaningful, and it was rewarding to be part of it. I especially enjoyed meeting the local people. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and respectful, making my stay even more enjoyable. The animals were wonderful, especially the dogs; they were adorable and friendly. Many of the moments and activities during my time there were beautiful and unforgettable. It was a special experience that I’m very grateful for.

I had such a great experience volunteering at this the shelter & the shelter. The work they do is really meaningful, and it was amazing to see how much care and effort goes into looking after the animals every day. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to stay here and contribute to something so important. It was a rewarding experience and I'll always appreciate the time I spent here. During my stay, I helped with feeding, taking the dogs on walks, spending time cuddling the dogs and cats, and helping with their general care. 🐾💛

We had a great time with all the animals, but we wished we got more information about how everything works and what we could do around the shelter so we could be more helpful. But aside from that we had a good time, we got to explore the area and meet the locals, and all the animals are to die for🙌💚
