The Experience

Hi we are a small little new family located on the river lung in ballaghaderreen County Roscommon, 3 miles from the nearest town and close to train stations. We have lots of creative projects in mind to complete on our land, we have 3 yurts on site that will have a outdoor decking area made of recyclable plastic with a wood burning hot tub and a pizza oven. We are constantly thinking of new little art and building projects to add to the site.

This was a truly fantastic experience all around. Tuesday and Wes are wonderful— They are very down to earth, generous people who create such a welcoming and joyful environment. The work can be quite tiring as it is a lot of physical labor, but it's nothing extreme. The grounds are beautiful, you get to meet a lot of cool people, and you can feel the good energy in this place. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

Truly enjoyed my time here at the camping. Tuesday and Wes made me feel like I was part of the family, and they were very accommodating whenever I had any wishes. Work was physically demanding but fair, and I got to learn many new skills.

I had a great time at the camping. Tuesday and Wes are great hosts, they are very patient, kind, and friendly. Their daughter Ziggy is also a fun spirit who welcomes you with open arms! The work is very fair. The hours are respected and if there is a change in schedule they will let you know. The dorm is very nice and homey. It's a great place if you want to unplug and get in touch with nature. I enjoyed being able to share my culture by cooking for them on days that were agreed on! Wishing you all the best Tuesday, Wes and Ziggy!

The camping is great if you want to get away and experience camp day to day as a volunteer. You'll be doing the back end work that includes keeping the campsite polished like deweeding and painting (in my case). The accommodations and meals were very generous. You're free to wander about and make the most of your time.

I was very lucky to stay at the camping. I have nothing to complain about—everything was respected exactly as agreed. Wes, Tuesday, and Ziggy are a wonderful family, and they made me feel comfortable and welcome from the start. They're funny, positive, and easy to be around. I learned a lot, had a great time, and truly got to disconnect. The work isn't heavy, and if you don't know how to do something, they'll teach you and help you learn.
