Ita and her family are a cool crew of women and I felt lucky to be welcomed into their space. I appreciated their patience with my Spanish. While I had a hard time with pace of conversation sometimes, I always enjoyed our shared laughs. Ita was very understanding when I needed some flexibility and I felt supported. At first, I was concerned about my ability to meet people, as night life is limited outside of Friday and Saturday and I worked from 5-10. But, after I adjusted to the heat and schedule, I met so many awesome people that welcomed me to share ceviche or beers - I loved my time.

Pasé unas semanas increíbles en La Lentejas! 🫶 Chacahua ya es un lugar mágico por sí solo, pero esta experiencia significó muchísimo para mí. Desde el primer día me hicieron sentir bienvenida y parte del lugar. El ambiente fue muy lindo, tranquilo y humano, y me llevo recuerdos realmente especiales de este tiempo. Me siento muy agradecida por toda la experiencia y por todas las personas que conocí aquí. Gracias por abrirme las puertas de este pequeño paraíso 🫶
