I’m really grateful I had the opportunity to have my first worldpackers experience with Solveig! I felt very welcomed and had the chance to learn a lot about running a business. The location is quite remote, but bikes are available and it was nice to explore the surrounding area. It’s a great place to connect with nature. The work is simple and varies depending on what is needed. Solveig is very hardworking and busy a lot of the time. She’s very kind, understanding and flexible with working times. I recommend communicating clearly, as she is always open to helping. Definitely recommend! :)

I've had a wonderful first volunteering time with Solveig at her glamping place.
I learned so much than just what was written on the description page. Checking guest in and out, handiwork, cooking, setting a sauna up and much more.
Concerning the hours of work, Solveig is very comprehensive. If she needs you to work at a specific time of the day she'll ask you if it's ok. She's really understanding, I could planned my days, she was ok with me working early in the morning so I had the afternoon free to discover the surroundings.
Communication is key !!

Life in Solveig's universe is def an experience to remember and learn from. Job is easy. Ambience and the camping are very pleasant. A massive natural sanctuary for private use. Communication and proactivity are key. The host is very busy, so you need to be able to work on your own once you know the drill without waiting for directions all the time. When you're there you become family automatically. So if you're a tourist looking for free food and accomodation this won't be your place. In short: Great place, family atmosphere and the camping overload. Thank you Miss S.

I had a really nice time at Solveig's home. She is very caring and always tries her best to make you feel comfortable and at home. She took us on trips and regularly asked about our needs. Her son, Vikingur, is very active and talkative, and it's fun to work with him. The household tends to be chaotic, and plans change frequently, which can sometimes be a bit stressful or can cause some confusion. I would recommend being open and flexible and maintaining clear communication.

My stay with Vikingur and Solveig was a very memorable one, that taught me a lot! Solveig is kindhearted and does everything to make you feel at home and Vikingur is a sweet and active child. In general, I would recommend communicating clearly with Solveig, she is very open to other opinions and critisms, should you have any. Living with Solveig and Vikingur can be very chaotic, so you should definitely be fine with that it you want to stay, but it's also always very fun! The work is also very manageable, as it mostly consist of looking after Vikingur.
