The Experience

We are a healthy, 100% vegan space with food and lodging services. We need volunteers to help with cleaning and organizing the rooms and with welcoming guests, as well. We also have a small garden that needs daily care. There may be a need for kitchen support, such as washing dishes or other assistance, as well as promoting the space. At CASAVEG you will learn a little about veganism and sustainability.

I stayed almost a month in Canoa Quebrada and at the hostel; it was a great experience, learning to handle foods without animal origin and turning them into delicious dishes.
I thank everyone for the moments, Hildete's scoldings and advice, Celita's laughs and antics, Márcio's patience, and Italo's conversations and lessons.
I am very grateful for the exchange!

My experience at Casa Veg was very good. The shared room is super comfortable and the inn is very cozy, ideal for those seeking tranquility and silence. The host Italo is super calm, friendly and attentive. I will miss everyone at the casita, including Veg and Jesus (='-'=) And I must not forget to mention the delicious meals that Ildtete prepares and José's (manager) teachings. The activities were carried out in two shifts, 3 hours in the morning, 3 hours at night as agreed. Canoa Quebrada is a place rich in nature and culture preserved by the Vila dos Estevão community :)

I've already installed a minibar. It's a nice idea to have a small table with two chairs. But I think it would feel cramped. Anyway, I know we do need to improve. And the cleaning as well. Thank you for the feedback.

The hostel is a comfortable and quiet place to volunteer. The team is wonderful; Gelma and Marcio made everything lighter, I loved my time there. The only issue is the lack of a kitchen, but it's something that has already been noted and is being resolved

Being at the hostel was a great learning experience, getting to know a little more about vegan food, collaborating with customer service, helping with the preparation of the foods, meeting people and the local culture; it was all very valuable to me. Thank you, Italo (the host) for the learning. Wishing you success!!!!

Canoa quebrada é um lugar muito tranquilo e bonito. o hostel é um espaço muito legal e no período que estive por lá senti que eles estavam em um momento de reorganização, mas boto muita fé e recomendo.
