This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was the best 10 days I could have ever wished for! Alma and Mathias welcomed me with open arms, and made me feel at home in an instant. The area is breathtaking, and there is so much to do around the island. The work was very manageable, ranging from all sorts of tasks like taking down tents to collecting wood in the beautiful forests. The days were split nicely with lunch, which was eaten with everyone together at the kitchen table. I will miss these meals, the environment, and everyone at Under Canvas! Thank you <3 !!

Best experience ever. The work was always well communicated, changed all the time so it never got boring and the amount of care Alma puts into the food is incredible. I was so lucky with my fellow volunteers to become friends, we got to explore so much of the island thanks to these amazing hosts. Their home is so beautiful and welcoming, I loved every day I spent there. 🫶

I had a brilliant time on Bornholm. Over the three weeks, I carried out lots of different tasks and jobs and met some lovely people.
In our free time, we were able to explore the island and enjoy the natural surroundings.
I’d definitely come back.

I really loved the sense of community amongst all of the volunteers here! Work hours were respected and the tasks were well-explained. The work itself typically consisted of housekeeping tasks with the tents or weeding in the fields. Breakfast and lunch were provided, and were delicious vegetarian meals that we all ate together! Plenty of ingredients and kitchen items were provided for cooking dinner. On days off, we were free to explore the island using Alma’s car or by bike/bus. It was great watching the stars at night and feeling immersed in the natural beauty of Bornholm.

It's been a really great experience; we've felt very comfortable there. Alma and Matias are wonderful hosts; they get involved with their volunteers, which makes for a really good atmosphere there. As for the work, there's always a daily plan where tasks are organised, making it clear what each person has to do. Alma is always willing to help with whatever we need and to show us how to do things. The atmosphere amongst the volunteers is also very friendly; having breakfast and meals together with Alma helps everyone get on really well and form bonds of teamwork and friendship.
