The Experience

Live a few weeks with Egyptian Maus, rare and mythical cats, in a peaceful, remote haven. Cuddles and playtime are guaranteed, but cleaning their spaces and helping in the house and garden are essential. Perfect for independent people comfortable with quiet solitude. Enjoy our summer lounge under the trees and a jacuzzi! I work for humanitarians, but in the evenings, I can teach you French cooking if you’d like!

Enjoyed my time here! Very peaceful and a nice break from my travels. Danielle was a great host who communicated well, answered all my questions, and helped me with anything I needed. The tasks are getting water and food for the cats, the cat litter, and cuddling with them. Also watering and mainetence on the garden and plants. Cleaning around the house and home improvement tasks when assigned. The work was easy and doable especially for the benefits of the volunteer opportunity. Already missing the cats <3

I had such a lovely time volunteering for Zia. The work consisted of cleaning the areas for the cats and making sure they are well fed and looked after (as well as cuddling & loving them of course), along with watering her garden/plants and doing some little bits of maintenance here and there. All very easy stuff. Her property is beautiful and quiet and perfect if you’re looking to escape the chaos of life for a bit! I really had such a lovely time and also learned a lot of french cooking. I would definitely come back!

Thank you very much, Kamdym. It has been a pleasure to welcome you. I hope you'll be able to meet Jadyn someday, and perhaps you'll come together as well? In any case, whether alone or not, you're always very welcome.

This was a wonderful experience! Zia is a very kind and thoughtful host and I found the work to be quite enjoyable. If you want an experience to connect with nature, animals, and to enjoy off the grid living, this is a great way to do that. The locals in the nearby towns are also lovely and the hiking trails are unbelievably beautiful!! I very much look forward to returning when I can.

Overall, my stay here was great! Danielle is a really good host and an interesting person to talk to, but can be a bit intense at times, so be prepared if you're very sensitive. :) She makes incredible food, a lot of it was new to me, and I learned so much about cooking from her. The work isn't hard at all; at least when I was there, I had more than enough free time. And those cats are such lovely creatures, very calm and affectionate... The obligatory cuddles with them were my favorite kind of "work" to do. Merci beaucoup pour toit Danielle🫶🐾

I had a great time with Danielle, I spend time with her and her amazing and lovely cats. The work is not hard at all, working times are respected and there's plenty of time to do other things you like. I saw many great places and learned a lot during my stay. I really recommend this to anyone who wants to get in touch with nature and animals, and who likes living remotely for some time. It was definitely an Experience for me and I took great memories back home!
