I only stayed for 2 weeks but I left as a better freediver, scuba diver, swimmer (and motorcycle driver😂). I also learned so much about marine conservation. Everyone at the hostel is so kind and fun &truly care about marine life & ecotourism. The location is so beautiful - there's a constant view of lush trees, the ocean, and Mayon volcano. My favorite thing to do is clean the coral nursery, drive to Legazpi blvd, enjoy the views, & go to the night markets. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to the hostel multiple times a week with the team. If u're thinking of applying, go for it. U won't regret it! ♥️

More than just a volunteer experience, this felt like becoming part of a family and a community. From taking care of the coral nursery and monitoring corals through diving, to creating conservation activities, I always felt actively involved. I found amazing friends, explored beautiful places, discovered new flavors, and shared unforgettable moments. One of the most meaningful experiences I've ever had, thanks to the incredible energy, passion, and love they put into protecting their ecosystem🪸🌊💙

Being at the hostel has been an unforgetable experience. Ran, Alaine, Jao.... everyone has been super nice and welcoming, making me feel like home. I had the opportunity to discover and help protecting the amazing corals and I learned a lot! I'm also really greatful for letting me discover the Philippine culture, which I loved. I couldn't be happier with my stay at the hostel. Thank you for everything and hope to see you again <3

A once in a lifetime experience I will never forget! Volunteering at the hostel was my first volunteering experience through world packers and I would not change it for the world. Alaine, Ran, Bert, Jao, and the rest of the amazing people I met make such a positive impact in their community and for the ocean. At the hostel, we did a mix of free the hostel and scuba diving at our coral nursery which included cleaning, planting, and maintaining our baby corals. I also got the chance to participate in coastal cleanups in Bicol! I will never forget my family in Bicol! Maraming Salamat po!!!

I had the most magical time with Ran and the whole team at the hostel. I felt like part of the family from the moment I got picked up at the bus station until the moment I left. Truly some of the kindest, most generous people I have ever met. I learned so much from them, not only about diving and reef restoration but about Filipino culture as well. Located away from the main tourist spots of the Philippines, this experience truly is a cultural immersion. I got to scuba or free the hostel almost everyday to help with the project and always felt safe with the amazing team at the hostel :))) 🐬🐬🐬
