Volunteering at the project was without a doubt one of the most meaningful experiences of my travels. I spent two and a half weeks there as a volunteer and was welcomed with so much warmth from the very first day. What impressed me the most was the passion and dedication behind this project. They have created something truly special. The children are incredibly curious, kind, and full of energy, and it was a privilege to spend time with them. Living in the village was just as memorable. I had the opportunity to experience the local culture and become part of the community. Thanks so much!!

I stayed with the Atagoran family for 3 weeks in with Emi and other volunteers. This project is really something special, led by the local community and supported by volunteers. Horowura is very remote; I felt truly intergrated into local life, eating, drinking and laughing with the wonderful people in the village. Emi is incredibly accomodating and made me feel comfortable from the minute I arrived. She is the central support of the project (and Andri of course) and provides consistency to the project. The children of the project bring light to the village and truly love to learn.

I spent three weeks with Emi, the Atagoran family and other volunteers. I had the honor and pleasure of helping to educate the children of Horowura village. It was an intense experience in which we worked to convey a global awareness to the students of the project, starting from English but also through the stories of my life and my experiences as a traveler and as a human being. There were also moments of leisure in which we managed to explore Adonara Island and other recreational activities. Thank you all for this fantastic experience!
