The Experience

Antonio and Gabriella, both over 60, with a dog and a cat, owners of a stone farmhouse, 600 m² over 3 floors with a garden/vegetable patch and a small wood in a village at 650 m above sea level, immersed in nature among forests and streams of mountain water. We are seeking enthusiastic and proactive collaborators, also for long periods (1 to 2 months). This experience will allow you to freely learn many topics, including holistic ones, that you would have learned after years of travel. No dependencies.

My first international volunteering experience, and also my first time in Italy, was at the coliving community, where I felt welcomed from the arrival. Volunteer Lucila introduced me to local life; the hosts Gabriella and Antonio, with their generosity and attention, made everything even more special. Even with my basic Italian, I always found patience, affection, and respect. The experience exceeded my expectations and will stay forever in my heart. I carry with me lessons learned, encounters and unforgettable memories, as well as gratitude for having helped to realize a dream.

For me it was all very different, because the place is beautiful, but it is a region with 27 communes (villages), with a lot of nature around, mountains... a lot of greenery... where a total of 900 people live. Thus, my contact was almost entirely with the couple (the hosts). My Italian is basic, so for me, the communication was a bit complicated haha. Antonio and Gabriella have a lot of patience when speaking, and of course we used the translator a lot (Google and AI). They are vegetarians and live life in a very unique way. So, really, it is a distinct experience.

This was my first volunteering experience; the place is beautiful and peaceful, the stone house, everything wonderful, it exceeded my expectations.
Gabriella and Antonio are the best hosts; from the first moment they have made me feel welcome, like at home, like a member of the family.
The tasks are varied, nothing that cannot be done, and if you don't know how to do them, they explain everything to you with a lot of patience, all in a calm and friendly environment.
They are really excellent hosts, with many projects, some of which I hope to be part of. I would definitely recommend this volunteering. Thank you very much!!!

My days at Reti di Vita, with Antonio and Gabriela, were beautiful and rewarding. They welcomed me very warmly; I felt comfortable. I shared their home and their life with them. I experienced permaculture from a human and community perspective. It was very enriching. I learned about sustainability. I participated in maintenance tasks and in reusing materials. I formed a valuable bond. Very happy and grateful.

Dearest Virginia! The experience with you has been beautiful and important.. the conversations at the table where getting to know each other became also taste and a subject .. the positive lightness you bring to Life, you place in everything you do and say.. your willingness to put yourself to the test with humility, even in an action you have never performed, has left the mark of your presence, and for this I thank you .. Goodbye!

Recomiendo mucho.
