Very nice place to volunteer, the tasks are easy and the shifts are well organised, leaving enough time to visit around or to chill and enjoy the amazing swimming pool at the hostel. The volunteers' room is quite spacious and comfortable, which is a plus!

Volunteering at the hostel was really lovely! I mostly worked the night shift, which runs from 11.00 pm to 4.00 am and involves simple cleaning tasks and preparing breakfast, and I shared a room with several other volunteers without any problems. The hosts are helpful, respect your breakfast and day off and provide bikes so you can visit not only the tourist areas a little further afield but also the city centre, where the hostel is located. What I particularly appreciated about the hostel was its peaceful atmosphere, the small swimming pool and the spacious communal areas.

I volunteered at the hostel Tulum and had a positive experience. My shifts were either 5pm–11pm or 11pm–5am. Tasks included sweeping and mopping common areas, putting away dishes, cleaning bathrooms, taking out trash, doing laundry, preparing hummus, lemon water, and pancake batter, and turning on lights and AC. My Spanish is limited so I didn't talk much at first, but I still enjoyed it. Thanks to volunteers Quentin and Nacho, staff especially Willy, plus Gibran and Sofi. Shoutout to Alvaro and his dog Tilo, and Rosalia, my companion at night. Chill and welcoming place to volunteer

The managers scheduled me for 6 hours per day for 9 days straight and I have the schedule as proof. They also didn't respect the safety of the team. An elderly volunteer stepped on a rusty nail and had to go to the hospital. Still, they wouldn't fix the problem, even though they have the tools. The entire team of volunteers became sick with a throat infection, likely because of the holes in the roof, that lead to beds getting soaked and probable mold growth in mattresses and the celling. They fumigated the rooms with people inside that made the air toxic. Large cockroaches 🪳. No fixed holes..

We’re sorry that this was your perception. When you told us about the schedule, we modified it immediately to adapt it to your request. The volunteer who was injured received medical care at a nearby hospital and fortunately it was not a serious injury. The fumigation was carried out with a product safe for people, following the corresponding instructions. We continue to perform regular maintenance on the facilities and we appreciate the feedback that helps us improve.
