I had a great time in Sligo with Mathieu, Sandra and their children as well as the other volunteers. Mathieu is very flexible with the work and the hours that you work, so it's no problem working a 4-day week or skipping a day and making up for it another day, which means you can easily discover other parts of Ireland! The project is in an incredibly beautiful part of the country with amazing views from the house and many beautiful hikes and walks nearby. Mathieu took us surfing, to game nights and the pub where youll be able to get to know many locals. I can only recommend the project!

This stay was incredibly enriching, both in terms of discovering the local culture and learning about construction, materials, and everything that can be achieved when building a house. Mathieu and his family were very welcoming and close to us throughout our stay, always happy to suggest activities for us to do. Everything described in the listing was exactly as it was in reality. The time spent with the group was truly wonderful and very rewarding. I would like to thank Mathieu and his family for their dedication and for giving us the opportunity to take part in this wonderful project.

I had a great stay with Mathieu. He and his family are incredibly welcoming, kind, and always willing to help. The working hours are flexible and reasonable, which gives you plenty of freedom. Unfortunately, we left early because there were no native English-speaking volunteers, so I couldn't practise as much as I'd hoped. However, Mathieu was very understanding and did his best to help me speak as much English as possible. I highly recommend this stay.

An absolutely unforgettable and rewarding experience! Helping to build the community-house in Sligo was incredibly fulfilling. Mathieu and his wonderful family were fantastic, welcoming, and incredibly supportive throughout. Living and working alongside volunteers from all over the world was deeply inspiring. The environment was full of cultural exchange, making it a truly enriching journey.I highly recommend volunteering at the community to anyone looking for a meaningful ecological project. A well-deserved five stars!

If you love nature, working with the earth, DIY, kindness, sharing, and learning, the community will be a true haven of peace for you. Although there are sometimes water cuts, this takes nothing away from the kindness and joy of Mathieu, Sandra, and their children. It takes nothing away from the beauty of the landscapes, and finally, it takes nothing away from the immense pleasure I had during this month in Sligo. I highly recommend it ! A huge thank you to Mathieu and the whole family for your incredibly warm welcome !
