The Experience

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to share the work and the joys of learning how to live more with the earth and to care for 5 cats, a mischievous lamb, and a lady hen. Weekdays are Monday through Thursday, from dawn (6:30am) until 12pm. You will help us with feeding and cleaning tasks, as well as giving them affection. I’m so grateful to Andrew and Addy for taking a chance on me as a first-time Worldpacker and for making me feel welcome from the beginning. The morning tasks were simple and as described, but what stood out most were the optional volunteer experiences they invited me to join, like helping a stray cat and bringing supplies to a community affected by oil spills in the region. It was inspiring to see how they engage with people and animals, and I learned a lot from our kitchen conversations! We also carved out time to practice my Spanish, which I really appreciated. Thank you <3

I felt very welcomed, appreciated and safe during the whole trip to Minatitlan and to the home. Everything was as descriped and even better. Both of the hosts do have enormous knowledge of the nature and different interesting topics so the discussions can run loong, there is so much to learn. I loved all the little details/knowledge about the nature around the casa. The kitchen in the home is a five star restaurant, I learned and discovered new exciting recipes and fruits and fell in love with the animals and the mango tree(s) and ofc with the hosts.❤️

Staying with Addy and Andrew isn't like being a guest or a volunteer in someone's home, it's like going to stay with friends for a while. The town is simple and not touristy, yet it begins to feel like home as you experience everyday local life and the genuine curiosity of the people you meet. Living with them enriched me not only through our meaningful conversations, but also through the constant laughter and fun! I left with a heavy heart. I was hoping to have a beautiful experience, and I did, but I wasn't expecting to leave behind people I wish I could see again in just a week.

We came here as a "travel couple" and could enjoy this incredible experience as our first volunteering with worldpackers and we were not disappointed. The volunteering at Casa Eugenio definitely exceeded our expectations and we'd love to come back!! Andrew and Addy are both such wonderful and kindhearted people and they made sure we could get the greatest taste of mexican culture. The morning routine was easy work and so much fun!! It was nice creating a bond with the animals. We enjoyed the time we could spend with Andrew and Addy and their whole bunch of animals - and we'll miss them lots!!!

It was an incredible experience volunteering at Andrew's and Addy's homefarm! Both are so welcoming people and we felt so appreciated by them.
We learned a lot about veganism (and ate delicious food!), gardening & harvesting as well as the local Mexican culture.
Collaborating with them was was such a joy and they always made sure we were comfortable doing what we were doing.
We also shared some great laughters and had interesting conversations.
The work was fair and as agreed. It was a pleasure meeting all the animals and creating a bond with them.
If possible, we'd rate it higher than 5 ⭐
