The Experience

Hello! We lived in Hamburg last year, and we want our children not to forget the German they learned. They don't need formal lessons, but to play in German or to take the children to and from school. We also need help with the garden and the house (organizing, some cleaning...) We offer a room in our house, a 20-minute walk to some of the monuments in Granada. And Spanish-Colombian food.

My time with Pilar and Julián the home was rewarding. They were warm and welcoming, making me feel at home. I helped with gardening and repairs and enjoyed playing with their kids. I learned about the local culture and food, improved my beginner Spanish, and taught the kids German and English. Pilar cared for me like a mother and was open-minded to feedback, even apologizing for occasional extra tasks during busy days. They became like family to me, and I hope to return one day. Their home is peaceful yet close to city attractions.

Truly an amazing experience. This was my first worldpackers, and I'm very glad I ended up at Pilar and Julian's the home. Nice accommodation, a lovely family, good communication and agreed upon hours. An overall welcomeness and kindness was provided by this family. I absolutely would recommend this family, or even renting a room at their home, as they're moving temporarily to Germany very soon. The home is beautiful and full of plants and beautiful paintings done by volunteers.

We spent a very lovely week at Julian and Pilar's place. Although we didn't get to meet in person, which we would have liked a lot, the contact was smooth and very friendly. Their house is really beautiful and the garden too. We spent a bit cleaning it, which was very rewarding.
We were also able to remember and get to know the city of Granada, which is very beautiful.
We shared our stay with two female travelers, which allowed for a very interesting exchange.
Thanks!🥰

A beautiful place, with easy access to the entire historic center of Granada, simple tasks, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating (although we didn't have the in-person experience, they were always incredibly available and open to ideas and very flexible with everything, concerned that we enjoyed the stay) and first-rate facilities. I recommend.
