I really enjoyed my time at Ramounat.
It is rustic and in used no machinery. I love that it is in the mountains and is trying to be self sufficient. I love that the work is hands on. I got out of my comfort zone and really enjoyed it.
I love the people who are at the farm it really feels like a family :) The food is so fresh on the farm.
I have learnt so much on this farm and will definitely miss it. I hope to definitely come back again :))

I had the most incredible opportunity to volunteer at a truly off-grid, back-to-basics farm, an unforgettable and deeply transformative experience. From the moment arrived, I was welcomed by a warm, kind, and supportive community. Life is rustic, with no modern comforts like hot water, relying on manual labour, resilience, and initiative. It can be challenging, but incredibly rewarding. I met amazing people who became true friends, and the connection to nature and community is something I'll carry forever. Not for faint hearted, but perfect for those seeking a meaningful, immersive experience

This experience is on the extreme end of off grid farm life. It was a bit too much for me as almost zero comforts provided and very remote, however the location was beautiful and the people were friendly. There would have been lots of learning about sustainability and farm life had i chosen to stay the whole time so if thats your thing this place would be good for you!

My experience at the community was amazing, being with the mountains, the garden, and the goats was truly a transformative experience for me. Although sometimes the instructions for work were not very clear, as I don't understand much French but generally was able to connect with people even with a language barrier. The work is not for the faint of heart but I enjoyed learning about how to take care of the land and the simplicity of this life. Everyone was welcoming, and we shared many laughs and joys playing music and cooking over a fire. This is the place for anyone wanting to escape society!
