I had a great time volunteering on the farm. It is a farm so be prepared to do some hard manual labor but Nico is great in not expecting too much hard labor in 1 day. There’s lots of little tasks to break up the more difficult tasks. The property is gorgeous and amazing for nature lovers. So many animals, birds and little critters. Beautifully quiet and peaceful. The locals are all friendly and so are the dogs. Facilities are good, hot shower, fans for sleeping, functional kitchen, outdoor seating, and an awesome natural swimming pool to cool off after hard work

I recommend to stay in Casa Cascada if your looking for a place where you can disconnect from the city and being involved with the nature. I suggest to bring repellent for the mosquitoes and a individual snack cuz the shops are not that close. The surrounding area is beautiful, full of butterflies, cows, horses, monkeys, waterfalls, etc the locals are very welcoming so I can say that I really enjoyed my time in San Rafel

We had an amazing time at Nico's place! The house is the middle of nature, surrounded by so many species of birds, plants and beautiful charcos and waterfalls. The communication with Nico is excellent, he's always available to guide you through the projects and he's the easiest person to get along. The local neighbors are super friendly and if you're walking into town, don't forget to stop at the butterfly sanctuary and at Nana's tienda :)
We'll keep this place in our hearts 💛

The farm is a very peaceful place to volunteer! I enjoyed the creative freedom to work on what I was most passionate about. In your spare time there are many places to swim, go for a walk, and enjoy the birds. Nico provides all the information you could need and does a great job of answering questions. I recommend this opportunity if you want a local experience with a flexible schedule/project options. Gracias Nico :)
