The Experience

Our permaculture food forest provides lots of fun projects, including special composting methods, bio-char garden beds, bamboo creations, to name only a few. Daily maintenance is also a large part of our work here: planting, harvesting, weeding, pruning, etc. We also practice some sustainable building methods and often have some fun projects in progress including natural stone work, natural lime-based plastering, bottle walls, yakisugi, etc.

Eli and Lina are two genuinely amazing people who have a wonderful place they call home. It was a learning experience that combined natural living, good work, and local immersion. Truly a wonderful place with good set goals and a lovely local to explore. Also Eli makes great food every day and their pets are adorable.

6/5 stars. Eli & Liina were wonderful- very welcoming and easy to connect with, took no time to feel comfortable. Work hours/load were as indicated. Plans were discussed rather than demanded, it felt like we were working as equals. Both took the time to explain the whys of jobs or functions on the property if I was interested, cool learnings. Meals were healthy and delish, accommodations couldn't have been better, such a peaceful place. Above & beyond experiences outside of work as well. It really just felt like they wanted to provide the best experience they could, and they did :)
