When I have to pick up or bring the volunteer to the airport or to another volunteer, and when it is more then 50km, I ask them to pay the half of the gasoil. P.e. when I do the pick up, I fill my tank and when we go to my house, I refill my tank by the same gasstation where I took first the gasoil and then the volunteer has to pay it.

Location is wrong. This house is 12 km away from the closest village (30 mins drive from closest small town FRAGA) and unless she drives you, you cant go anywhere.
Besides 20 hours of work, she will expect that you do whatever, whenever she asks, putting medicine in a pool at 11 pm, like it cant be done in working hours, also you are expected to be there for her, to listen to her stories 24/7, deal with her moods, tiptoe, ask permission even to open a fridge etc. Overall it is DRAINING, EXHAUSTING and absolutely not recommended. To be stuck with someone so negative, somewhere so remote.

First I never told my house is nearby the town, it is clearly mentioned that it is situated in the middle of fruitplantages. Second I go with my volunteers always to the shops and ask them what they want to eat, I even let them choose their food. Third on my profile you can see that I ask for persons who are not afraid to work. I give food and accommodation and therefore I ask you to work for me 5 hours a day and you may choose your selves these hours. You got 2 days free. So don't say I am a li

I had an amazing two weeks with Chantal. She has a lovely house in a beautiful and isolated area. Chantal is very kind, generous and an amazing host and her two dogs are lovely as well. She is very laid back about working hours and lets you keep to your own schedule, I would definitely recommend this experience if you are on the fence!

Have a very pleasant week at Chantal's house. The tasks were fun and it is very important to her that they are well done. The house, in addition to being very comfortable, is in a place with views of the river and the mountains in a very peaceful setting. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys remote areas away from cities and has the energy to work.
