The Experience

Volunteers will be involved in multiple activities, the main ones being: - Monitoring for sea turtle tracks along beach stretches on the Gelsomini Coast! This activity will be carried out either in the early morning or late afternoon. - Monitoring of the hatching process: for the most part, this activity will take place at night, with volunteers checking for hatchlings throughout this process. - Educate the public during the hatching phase

The best volunteer experience ever. I learned lots of things from experts of the project, how to do the conversion, why they have problems of running into the see, why and how they get hurt from humenbeing, how to work as a team for helping the see turtles. Also, the whole team is so adorable, with lots of passion of the project, all so nice that I don't want to leave. I love you and want to come back again.

The experience was absolutely amazing! From the start I was greeted and welcomed with open arms. It was truly as if they were on big family. Everyone is super patient and passionate about the work so it makes it very easy to hit the ground running with the volunteer work. They are very open to teaching you Italian even to a beginner like me. Overall, this is an experience 100% worth taking as it opens your eyes to an amazing culture that dedicates itself to amazing work which reinforces the idea that we as humans are on this beautiful earth to live alongside it.

Ciao.
