The Experience

We’re a local family in Tetebatu with a homestay surrounded by rice fields and views of Mount Rinjani. We’re building a farm from scratch — growing chili, cacao, coffee, and more! Help us in the garden, share meals with us, and enjoy hikes to waterfalls, monkey forests, and peaceful rice walks. You’ll experience real Sasak hospitality, learn about farming, and live close to nature in one of Lombok’s most beautiful region.

I had a wonderful experience staying with Mr. the farm and his family in Tetebatu! The work was not too difficult with very reasonable hours. After every day on the farm, Mr. the farm gave us fresh ice tea and cassava chips as a great post-work snack. He's very knowledgeable and passionate about sustainable farming, supporting the local community, and contributing to a mission of sustainable tourism. I learned so much about not only agriculture, but also how it can be integrated with the community to benefit everyone. The room was spacious and comfortable and meals were delicious.

We spent a little over a week with the farm and his family. the farm is very friendly, funny, and does his best to make you feel welcome! The work is enjoyable and not too demanding (about 2 hours a day), and it's pleasant to work with the locals. the farm's wife is a fantastic cook! The accommodation is clean with an incredible view of Mount Rijani. You can use your free time to visit Tetebatu and the surrounding area, including the rice fields, the Monkey Forest, and waterfalls. Thanks again!

Had a great 2 weeks staying with the farm in Tetebatu. He's a genuinely amazing person who was extremely kind and helpful during my stay. As well as this he was really funny with some great stories he was always keen to share. His passion for Lombok and Tetebatu was infectious and I'd recommed this experience to anyone. The mornings would be working on his farm, normally harvesting, and the afternoon would be your own to explore or chill. The homestay was lovely, making a nice change from hostels and the food was also great and gave me the chance to try some local dishes I hadn't before.

I spent a wonderful time with the farm and his family. He's very positive man with stories to share and always willing to help me with all the problems. It's a very laid-back week in Tetebatu, very easy farming tasks in the morning and own time in the afternoon and night. We hiked the Pergasingan Hill and visited some local bamboo&weaving clubs together. I really enjoyed the local cusines as well, very fresh and yummy. Recommend to stay with the farm if you want to have a special experience in Tetebatu!
