My experience here was excellent. I had the opportunity to learn more about the local culture and experience the country in a more authentic way. I really enjoyed spending time with the staff, and the place is beautiful. The tasks were easy, which allowed me to also enjoy and explore the city. I truly appreciated how thoughtful they were with my meals, as I don't eat much spicy food and they prepared my meals separately. I felt very welcomed, comfortable, and cared for throughout my stay.

I had such an incredible time at the hostel! Nayak in the kitchen spoke little english but was so warm and welcoming to me my entire 8 days there. The other workers at the hostel were also so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable from moment one. Even the other visitors to the hostel were incredible! I had some eye opening conversations and learned so much about this incredibly diverse and full country. Couldn't recommend this more and am very grateful to Sadhu and his team! Thank you guys!

I had a great stay at Gandhi Hostel. As the first place I arrived in India, it was the perfect introduction—welcoming, supportive, and easy to settle into.
The people I met there showed me around and offered helpful advice, while the reception staff were always available for guidance. Sadhu, the hostel owner, was very open to ideas and gave me a lot of creative freedom in what and how I chose to draw.
The schedule was completely flexible, allowing me to shape my day as I liked, and high-quality art supplies were provided. Gandh

I thoroughly enjoyed my volunteer days at the hostel. The place is spacious and welcoming, with a patio and plenty of room to work and socialize with other guests. The staff is friendly, respectful, and always willing to help when you need a recommendation or assistance. My main task was helping Nayak in the kitchen: chopping fruits and/or vegetables for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I also helped with grocery shopping and washing dishes. I learned to make Indian-style tea and omelets. Thank you so much for your hospitality, and I hope to return. Hugs

The hostel is more than just accommodation — it's a heartwarming community. The staff treat every guest like family, and their genuine warmth makes you feel instantly at home. I met travelers from all parts of the world here; every evening was full of laughter, games, and shared experiences. We celebrated Diwali together, blending cultures and traditions beautifully. I'll never forget the peaceful mornings when the staff performed pooja, such a spiritual start to the day. The home-cooked food is delicious and comforting, something you rarely find in any traveler's hostel across regions.
