I spent a whole month on the farm with Marcelo and his family and i am so grateful for everyday. this was my first solo trip and they provided such a wonderfully safe and welcoming environment to explore being alone and and figuring out my independence. it was not what i expected but absolutely everything i needed. i truly felt welcomed into the family and i know i will always have a home in quellouno. i learned so much about the traditional methods of processing coffee and cocoa, spanish and so much about peruvian culture. marcelo and his family truly felt like my own by the time i left.

Had an amazing time. Marcel and his family are great to get along with very funny and will help teach you Spanish. The location is beautiful and you will get to explore the farm which has many different kinds of plants, butterflies and birds.Lots of opportunities to learn about coffee and cacao and help prepare and try local foods a lot of which comes from the farm itself.Marcelina is very cool and knows lots about plants. Loved working with them and hope to come back. You also get to visit a beautiful waterfall and explore local area

I spent 3 weeks with Marcelo and his amazing family. In this time I learned about Cacao, Coffee and making icecream. As well as lot about the peruvian culture and food. the work was very diverse, i had the opportunity to help them at two of the local markets to sell products and get to know local people. The town where the family lives is calm and surrounded by nature. Close to the town are many nice things to do which made my time off nice. It was an priceless experience and a true enrichment for my whole travel. Thanks to the whole family for having me! <3

Nous avons séjourné deux semaines dans la famille de Marcelo et je dois dire que ce fut une expérience incroyable. C'était la première fois que nous faisions un volontariat et nous n'avons pas du tout été déçu. Marcelo et sa famille ont été très accueillant et très généreux. Ils nous ont appris beaucoup sur la culture péruvienne et sur la biodiversité. Nous avons passé également beaucoup de temps avec Marcela et Eva, qui nous ont beaucoup appris humainement. Eva est une jeune femme merveilleuse et Marcela nous a accompagné et appris beaucoup de choses pendant ce séjour.

Fue muy gratificante el tiempo que pasamos en el lugar, la sra Marcelina es un libro abierto para explicar, contar y enseñar, en mi estadía me torcí un tobillo (nada que ver con el trabajo) solo un accidente leve y la sra Marcelina me ayudó un montón junto con la sra nohemi estuvieron siempre muy pendientes de mi recuperación, si viajan lleven efectivo (soles) en el pueblo no reciben tarjeta un tipsito por si quieren comprar cositas Muchas gracias por la hospitalidad, los llevamos en el corazón 🫶🏽
