If you want to spend time in a beautiful scenic spot with cute dogs, lots of English breakfast tea, while learning about furniture, carpentry and general farming and building with one of the most interesting, funny and genuine people you've ever met, I would highly recommend this place to you! This has been one a truly magical experience and Jacqui has been the best host I could have ever wished for

It is hard to put into words how grateful I am for this experience. I spent an incredible week with Jacqui, the dogs, and the horses, and it gave me a glimpse of the life I dream of. The village is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Even with the cold and rain, we explored the area. The renovation work was physical, but Jacqui is flexible and respectful. She respected my remote work schedule and my limits. I highly recommend this unique experience in the south of France. I will carry it in my heart forever. Jacqui is an incredible and very generous human being.

Beautiful place and a lovely first week. Me + 2 other girls worked the agreed 5 hours and also cooked all meals and washed dishes, but during the second week the atmosphere became tense. Comments like “you should be grateful” and “this is not a hotel” made me feel unwelcome and like a burden rather than an appreciated volunteer. Being dependent on the host for food and necessities in such a remote location made this especially stressful. Despite completing all the agreed work, it felt like there was an expectation to do more. A shame, as it started so well.

It was a great experience. It felt like staying with a friend. Jacqui is a very kind person. Tasks were not difficult, the working hours were respected. I learned a little bit about horses and grooming them. I helped Jacqui with garden work, some wall painting and diy. I leraned a bit about renovation and furniture. The area is gorgeous, the views are phantastic, nice for walks. Jacqui has two dogs and two horses so it's nice to spend some time with them. I really enjoyed it, I was able to go on a day trips on my day-offs. I would totally recommend this experience to other volunteers.
