My stay was great :) I spent lots of time riding their bikes around the coast & experiencing Norwegian culture. The tasks are housekeeping and yard work, & general cleaning and other chores. At first I felt it was a little hard to grasp everything but within a few days I was able to get into the flow of it really nicely! Anne & Marita are always looking for events or activities in the area for you to do so you get the best experience possible. Communication was great, the kitchens, bathrooms, & rooms are very nice, (they are all twin beds), and they definitely made my experience special :)

The hostel was my first experience as a worldpacker and it met and surpassed my expectations, the place is beautiful, if you love nature is the perfect place. Marita and her mom Anne were so kind and welcoming and i have learned a lot from them, the people that stayed at the hostel were also really nice. If you are new to worldpacking like i am this definitely is an amazing place in all regards.

I can definitely recommend volunteering at the hostel! It's the perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The hostel is located in a small village, so it's never too busy. The facilities are great and working hours are fair, leaving you with plenty of free time to explore the area. There are lots of beautiful hikes nearby, and the scenery is absolutely stunning. 😌 The owners Anne and Marita are very kind and warm people. I wish I could have spend more time with them! Thank you for everything 🫶🏻

This is a wonderful family-run hostel where you feel genuinely welcomed from the moment you arrive.
The work is fair, and I had plenty of time to explore or/and enjoy peaceful evenings. I loved the calm atmosphere of the village, with beautiful hikes, sightseeing, beaches covered with seashells, Viking history, and meeting kind locals who love sharing their culture and stories.
What makes this experience special are the people. You arrive as a stranger but leave as a friend. I'm grateful for the memories and would recommend this host to anyone seeking an authentic Norwegian experience.
