I was at the reserve just after the blockades were lifted in Bolivia so the work was very chill since there were no tourists. Kenny and Laura are so nice and welcoming. I applied for marketing but ended up doing reception as well. I got to spend a night in the glass domes which was a cool experience. Copacabana gets very cold at night so I'd recommend layers for anyone thinking of going there :)

Had a great time volunterring there, only problem was that I had to leave a day early or two because of a problem back at home. Bedrooms are what they are described as and the hostel helps with boat rides to Isla de Sol.

Overall, the experience as a volunteer was excellent; the hosts Keny and Laura treated me wonderfully, always with their son Nicolai on their shoulders, and the interaction with the other volunteers was superb. The only downside of the two weeks I spent there was that two days after I arrived all the roads in Bolivia were closed, and the beautiful town didn't have its usual tourist traffic, so several businesses were closed—one more reason to enjoy Copacabana's beautiful views.

Upon our arrival at Skylake Hostel, the reservation staff greeted us very well and gave us excellent accommodation. We helped with breakfasts and cleaning. The staff were always very friendly with us, and there was always time for a greeting or a conversation. There were guests from all around the world. There are plenty of things to explore in the area. We want to thank Angy and Garry since they treated us as part of the team. And to the owners for their hospitality.

Here is an address and photos of a beautiful place; it's not the one you're going to go to since they have three accommodations. They sent me to a cold, dirty place, with old and stained mattresses. The kitchen could not be used, when the app says that it can. Two dirty toilets, just the toilet, there was no seat or lid. The wifi didn't work. Also, since the door to the 'room' didn't close well, the dogs they have in the yard came in and peed on my backpack. They want people to work for free in exchange for deplorable conditions. I stayed that night and the next morning I left.
