The Experience

We live in an inherited village house in the center of Benferri, with a garden, fruit trees and a young cat. We are looking for volunteers to help with daily tasks: renewing furniture, working in the garden, cooking, cleaning, tidying up, decorating or painting. Depending on your skills you can contribute more, and if not, we will teach you everything. We share a rural, simple and sustainable life, based on collaboration and mutual learning.

Benferri is a very calm place and perfect for those looking for tranquility. Román is an excellent host, he made me feel at home and welcome, even though I don't speak Spanish. The activities are not difficult and are explained easily. I really enjoyed the work and the experience in a nursing home made me see life in a different way. Muchas gracias por todo :)

My stay has been very pleasant. The house is very nice and has a garden that's a bit of a work in progress, but one enjoys being in the good shade of the trees. The work consisted of domestic chores, some simple tasks in the podiatry workshop and some gardening, always requested with a lot of courtesy and gratitude from the hosts. Regarding the town, if you don't have a vehicle, there isn't much to do (if you ride a bike there, they'll lend you one). I can't help but say that the best part of my stay was the cat Nectarino! Thanks Jana and Román

I've had a great time, the people are kind and friendly, and they make you feel comfortable right away. They are flexible if you have other commitments.
By the way, I almost forgot, they have a very affectionate cat. 😍

How beautiful it is to explore the culture of other places and meet new people, especially for having met Roman and Jana, both very kind, friendly and respectful, they made me feel good during my stay, the work had calm moments and others a little more demanding,
But in general it was a learning experience and it is what I liked the most, I am grateful for the opportunity and all I learned; especially for meeting Roman and Jana, excellent people❤️

My experience was wonderful; I spent a few very comfortable and peaceful weeks in Benferri. Román and Jana are excellent hosts; they make you feel like part of their family and they care about making you feel at home. They also make it easy to explore nearby places and they include you in their daily plans. Nectarino🐈 is beautiful and affectionate. As volunteering is perfect if you want autonomy and flexible hours; you learn new things, and if you want a season in a very quiet and relaxing place, Benferri is perfect. Thanks Román and Jana, my new friends ❤️

The best of the best! So efficient that it almost leaves us with no ideas to complete its schedule! Easy to work with, very quick-minded, and even faster at executing tasks.
