You'll experience real farm life on this absolutely enchanting farm. πŸ˜‰ Solveig is a humourous and very generous person with a big heart, especially for her animals. πŸ€— All of the animals are adorable and nature here is beautiful and very peaceful. Even though I wasn't very lucky with the weather most of the time, I enjoyed my time and could help with several tasks, also the schedule is very fair. Thank you for everything. 🫢🏻

Solveig and her farm are simply wonderful and I loved every day I spent there. In summer time the animal care is very light since cows and sheep are in the fields so if you’re looking to gain skills specifically in that, I’d recommend visiting during winter. I was mostly looking after the dogs (two lovely border collies), making wax frames for the bees, once I helped to cut grass and remove an old fence. Solveig went out of her way to make me feel comfortable, and I already plan to come back. Thank you for hosting me!

We had an amazing 2 weeks staying here and helping out on the farm. My husband did some handyman work, fixing doors, replacing gutters,,etc. while I helped by feeding and caring for the animals, assembling frames for bee boxes, and other general tasks. I even got to feed some newborn lambs (as it was lambing season) and see a calf be born! Our host was warm and welcoming, cooked us amazing traditional Norwegian food, gave us lots of help and tips for seeing all the nearby sights, and even let us borrow her car. There are beautiful hikes and drives nearby, fjords, and lots of Viking history!

We had a fantastic time at Solveig's farm. It was an amazing opportunity to experience real Norwegian farming culture and daily life firsthand. Solveig was incredibly welcoming and gave us the chance to meet her family and friends, which was a great opportunity to get immersed in Norwegian life.

Working mainly with the sheep during lambing season was both challenging and rewarding, and something we'll never forget. We learned a lot, felt included from the start, and truly appreciated the kindness and trust we were given throughout our stay. Absolutely recommended.
