I had a great experience staying with the home and his children, Amira and Mouad, for two weeks. I felt very welcome and enjoyed being part of their family life. the home planned some trips for us, which were really fun. On some days we didn't do much and I wasn't sure what to do, but you can always plan something for yourself. I had no specific tasks and it felt more like experiencing their hospitality than a typical work exchange. The food was delicious and I enjoyed playing cards together. I'm very grateful for their kindness and hospitality. I won't forget these two weeks ❤️

I absolutely loved my stay with the family and will definitely come back! Everyone was really kind and we all had a great time together. We prepared dinner together and afterwards played some cards (:
Around the house wasn't much to do so you have a lot of free time. One day we even went to the Souk with the home and Mouad.
I would definitely recommend, he is a really kind guy and his two kids who are living their are really nice👍

Thank you so much Franka for your kind words. We really enjoyed having you with us, and it was a pleasure sharing those moments together especially cooking dinner and playing cards in the evening.
It was also nice visiting the souk together.

You were a wonderful guest, and we truly appreciated your kindness and positive spirit. You will always be welcome in our home, and we would be very happy to see you again someday.

All the best in your travels!

A very easy going family. I had a great time getting to know them and appreciated their hospitality and generosity. the home, the father, was always jovial and his three children, Soundesse, 19 Moad, 18, and Amira, 12, seemed to get along well together. They laughed and joked with each other a lot although I often didn't get the jokes since they were speaking mostly in Arabic. I wondered sometimes if I was doing enough for them but Soundesse told me there wasn't that much to do and reassured me not to worry much about it Soundesse was also very helpful when I handphone issues.

Thank you, Melinda. We were so happy to have you with us. Soundesse was traveling in Asia, so the three of us struggled with English, but we tried our best. However, Soundesse's arrival made our attempts unnecessary, haha, because she speaks fluent English, so she became the go-between for you and us. Thank goodness she's back in Asia again, haha.

The home, Mouad, and Amira are all good people. They provided good food and a place to sleep. The facilitation of volunteering needs improvement. I was given no instuction/orientation to the family, house, duties, or the neighborhood. Communication was lacking - I wasn't told there was another volunteer that I'd be sharing a room with until I arrived, and the address I was given wasn't exactly correct so I had trouble finding the home. When I arrived, my reception was lukewarm; the family didn't speak to me much. I felt out of place, so I left early, given that I was only there for a week.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I'm truly sorry your experience didn't meet your expectations. I fully understand the importance of clear communication, proper guidance, and a warm welcome upon arrival in a new place, especially for short stays.

Your feedback is valuable and will help improve future volunteer experiences by ensuring better communication, clearer pre-arrival guidance, and a more welcoming environment for the family, household, and community.

I wish you all the best
