The Experience

It is a community of entrepreneurs in cave tourism in Samaipata, founded at the foot of the Elbow of the Andes. We are currently building our little mountain town and we offer guided hikes, music festivals, and other artistic and cultural activities to fund ourselves, which is why we are looking for volunteers who, in addition to contributing to our projects, get to know our dreams, myths, and legends.

Jaime welcomed us warmly, he did his best to make us as comfortable as possible, and there is nothing to fault there. Unfortunately, living conditions are challenging. As another volunteer explained, the campsite was destroyed due to a flood, so the wifi was unstable, the toilets/showers are at the neighbor's (700 m away) and the kitchen is not very functional. We were able to stay for the entirety of our volunteer period, but indeed we must be aware of it. As for the tasks, they were somewhat random due to the 'weather conditions' and the lack of direction.

Despite the conditions in which the campsite was located due to the river that grew and destroyed much of the town, at the campsite they tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible, light work. The WiFi was limited. The place is very quiet, ideal if you want to get away from the people and the noise a little.
