The Experience

You'll help out at our small craft brewery and bar in Cajamarca. Tasks include supporting behind the bar, serving drinks, keeping the space clean and welcoming, and helping during cultural events. The work is social and hands-on, mostly in the afternoons and evenings. In return, you'll be part of a close-knit team, meet locals and travelers, learn about craft beer, and experience Cajamarca in an authentic, local way 🍻

My experience at the host was one of my favorite volunteer positions I've done. Edwin, Lady and Zoe treated me like family. They invited me to family functions, restaurants, even simple errands, showed me how to cook ceviche and things like that. The work was easy but fascinating. The food was great. Overall it was a great experience, the perfect place to conocer Cajamarca during carnaval. When they found out I didn't have a place to stay for carnaval they even let me stay on a mattress in a spare room even though my scheduled dates had ended. I'm super grateful for having had this opportunity

I came during Carnival dates and had the chance to get to know and experience the Cajamarca Carnival... always very attentive to ensure the host and his partner were well at all times; there was a lot of communication. They are a very kind family, with experience in dealing with travelers... A very comfortable bed and the home facilities; the work is not mandatory ... Edwin teaches you every detail of beer with a passion, and listening to him you can feel why he chose this profession.

Our experience at the host company was excellent; they made us feel part of the family and for us it was a true cultural, musical, and gastronomic exchange. The tasks in the cochela were given by Edwin, and they were really easy; the schedule was always respected and we received much more than what they had offered us at first. I 100% recommend this volunteer program; it's a learning space and a chance to immerse yourself in the local culture.
