The Experience

We offer very special, very authentic holiday homes in the heart of the Langhe, Piedmont, Italy. Our guests are members of our association and with their contribution we are able to maintain the cultural landscape around our houses. On our land are small vineyards, hazelnut and olive groves, forests and meadows. Our volunteer would help us in the vineyards, do the gardening maintanance around our houses and learn a lot about sustainable farming.

For me, it was an incredible experience. Yvonne and Michela made me feel like part of the team, welcomed me into the local community, and were always looking out for our well-being. I learned a lot about the culture and the work processes, and I had the opportunity to practice the language. It was more than just volunteer work; it was an unforgettable experience, filled with moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

My experience was intense and taught me a lot about gardening, pruning, and rural work, which I truly value. Yvonne and Miky are very dedicated to their project, and I gained meaningful practical skills. However, the experience also required significant emotional adaptability, resilience, and clearer communication than expected. This opportunity may suit volunteers who are highly independent and well-prepared for demanding rural environments.

As a field experience, it couldn't have gone better. We worked hard, but we also had a lot of fun. Yvonne and Miky gave us unforgettable moments. We had the chance to get to know the entire community of Roddino, Dogliani and the whole winemaking process, a topic that fascinates us greatly.

It was a fantastic month, an ideal experience for those who aren't afraid of hard work and of getting in touch with people!
I appreciate the opportunity to have made new friends, whom I hope to see again very soon.♥️🇮🇹
