I loved waking up in the middle of nature, and having a routine different from the everyday, helping to keep the place in better conditions, likewise proposing and being listened to is something I appreciated while at the center. Thank you, Brenda!

My stay at the center was very pleasant; the place is really beautiful and tranquil, with an ideal location to easily access towns such as Zacatlán and Chignahuapan, as well as several waterfalls and pleasant places to walk between the villages and the countryside, relaxing. My collaboration was mainly abroad; it was nice to work together with Richard and Miguel. I also wholeheartedly thank Brenda/Miguel/Margarita for including me in their activities and family gatherings; I had a great time, it was interesting and fun. Regards and a big hug to all :D.

Brenda was very flexible with the schedule and you can decide when you want to work. I loved spending my time with her two dogs and two cats. Sometimes the work is very hard and sometimes not. I think expectations can be clearer from the start to avoid confusion. Something I didn't like was the way Brenda spoke to me on my day off. I found it inappropriate and disrespectful. But I left cash at her house when I left and she sent it to me by transfer and I am grateful for that. I can recommend this place for its nature but not for its sense of community or friendship.

Brenda replied

Thank you for sharing your experience and for valuing Quetzalli's nature and animals. I'm sorry you felt uncomfortable on the last day. My intention wasn't to be disrespectful, I was merely reminding you of something that for us is part of community respect: leaving the space used clean, including washing the sheets before leaving. I will take your comment into account to better explain these expectations from the start. I wish you all the best.

I was basically the only one volunteering during the week I was there, which gave me the opportunity to think and connect with nature and with myself while I carried out activities. Brenda was very kind during my stay.

Thank you, Erika, for sharing your experience and for your stay at Quetzalli 🌿
I'm glad to hear that the space allowed you to connect with yourself and with nature. During your visit it was the week leading up to Christmas and with few volunteers, so some holistic group activities, such as the temazcal, could not take place.
I appreciate your support with the décor and your feedback, which helps us continue to improve. I wish you all the best ✨
