I can't find the words to describe how special this volunteering experience was at La the lodge. I was welcomed like family from the start and not once did I feel out of place or homesick because this family really does make you feel at home. Jose is one of the most kind and caring people I've ever met, towards both nature and the people around him. He is so passionate and knowledgeable about his projects, which was so beautiful to be able to be apart of, and I am excited to see the growth of this projects in the future. I'm so grateful for all the unforgettable memories made here 🦥❤️

I spent two wonderful weeks with José. He is so kind and attentive that he will do everything to ensure you have a perfect time at his place. I was able to discover Caribbean culture and the best spots in Limón region. Thank you so much for this experience, which will stay with me forever.

I was supposed to stay 3 weeks finally I stayed more than 2 month in this paradise… the family the lodge is just amazing and definitely the best people I met since I travel alone ( 7 months ) they treat me like I was a member of the family even if I don't speak Spanish. I don't have any word to express how I'm glad to met them. Jose is just an awesome person and he's gonna take care of you and your comfort every time. And about the place, everything is just incredible. I would recommend this volunteering for everyone. God bless Jose and his family it was just the best experience of my life.

Jose replied

Thank you Camille for everything, you were really helpful for our family, I appreciate so much the effort that you made and not complain even if we had some days full of work, we had a great time together traveling and playing Bocce Ball and soccer at the beach. 🌊⚽I recommend to have her as a volunteer if you wanna always have a great vibe and somebody to help you in any posible situation, she learns really fast and it could easily be the kindest volunteer you'll have. 🇨🇷🌱🇫🇷

José is very respectful, friendly and attentive host. He truly makes sure you enjoy your stay at the finca and creates a pleasant work environment. The friendship I built with him was incredible, and his vision for the future of the farm is inspiring. It's definitely a place worth supporting. He also made an effort to plan activities so I could enjoy my free time during my stay. Getting around after working hours can be a bit challenging since the finca is far from the main towns. Jose's whole family is also extremely welcoming and his mom's cooking delicious 🫶🏼

Thank you mae for the great times! 🕺Aldo was really helpful throughout the whole stay, it was good to have somebody that can weightlift a 350lb (155kg) base with ease 🦾 and have fun at the same time. A man of good values and respectful, good to have on your projects. Gracias mae, Pura Vida! 🙌🏼🇨🇷🇲🇽

It was absolutely amazing!✨
José is such a kind person with whom you can laugh a lot and do things together. His family welcomed us warmly and his mother always cooked us delicious meals. We felt at home.😇
The house is a bit secluded, but absolutely idyllic in the middle of nature, and José gave us rides in his car and made a lot possible. We got along great with him and it felt more like helping a friend than work.🫶🏻
Highly recommended!!!
