Absolutely the best hosts, everybody I encountered was incredibly welcoming & communicative. The accommodation was great, I had my own room and bathroom and both were clean. The work itself was not difficult, very repetitive and simple so just throw on some music and the day goes by fast. Hung & Joyce were lovely, I was the only volunteer at the time so they made it worthwhile by showing me the best spots in Chiayi. The food there was incredible!!! Hung was flexible in scheduling, so if you wanted to experience a faster-paced city you could do always da weekend trip.

Hung was a fantastic host who made me feel right at home in Chiayi! I had a fantastic time exploring the city and the surrounding areas. The work consisted of helping out with gardening and helping with websites. Hung was extremely kind to me, often offering to show me around and help me experience the local foods. I highly recommend this experience!

Hung was an awesome host, the tasks felt rewarding as there’s a direction, and she was relaxed about start times.
Besides the volunteering work, Hung helped me to participate in activities in Chiayi and make the most of my time there, willing to drive me to various destinations such as food markets and badminton clubs.
She was very understanding of my Celiac disease and Soy allergy, and made adjustments to the inclusive lunches on workdays to suit my dietary needs.
