In our project we practice conservation in all aspects of daily life. We take care of water use and reuse it whenever possible, planning and shaping the terrain to maintain the groundwater level and prevent soil erosion. We reuse all food scraps and return them to the soil through a composting system that keeps the soil fertile and helps conserve water. Additionally, we plant native species.

My days at Rayo de Sol were incredible! This was my first experience with Worldpackers, and it went great! The hosts truly care about making volunteers feel comfortable, learn new things, and have a pleasant experience. During my stay, there was an Eclipse Gathering, with more people and interesting workshops. Despite all the activities, the hosts explained many things I wanted to learn about, such water recycling & other sustainable practices. My tasks as a volunteer were well organized and clearly explained, and it was a real pleasure for me to contribute to such a beautiful place and people

Gretl is kind and attentive, always making sure that everything is running smoothly and that we all feel comfortable with our tasks and hours. She always involves us in all activities, and makes sure that we have everything needed to feel comfortable! My stay was extremely nice, I felt right at home, and was able to have a very productive time, both with my volunteer as personal tasks. The nature environment at Rayo del Sol is perfect to step outside of your comfort zone and immerse yourself in a different world.

Gretl has been particularly kind, approachable, and very professional. She has a lot of experience working with volunteers and knows exactly how to distinguish between those who just want to 'hang out' and those who really enjoy contributing and working with enthusiasm.

Gretl is cheerful, always with good energy, and maintains clear and constant communication, which makes everything flow naturally.
With Matthew I also had great chemistry; we shared amazing moments.
