We are a friendly family living in the beautiful hills of Gironde, France, surrounded by nature and animals. Our home is full of life – 3 children, 5 horses, 5 sheep, and 3 dogs. Life here is active and outdoorsy. Most of the help we need is hands-on, physical work in the fresh air: looking after the animals, feeding, cleaning, gardening, small projects around the land, and enjoying what we like to call our daily “garden workout”.

My time here was a lovely and positive experience.
Zoe and Fabián are charming, generous, and caring hosts; they made me feel right at home. The accommodation is a luxury: a private room with an ensuite bathroom.💙🩷
I valued the immense trust they placed in me, giving me the responsibility to care for the house and animals alone for two weeks. It made me feel appreciated.
Regarding work, we found a great balance: Zoe and I agreed to include outdoor tasks. This made the experience much more dynamic.

Overall, it was a good experience. The house was comfortable and well equipped, and they were very kind. I appreciated the opportunity to help with the tasks. Unfortunately, my volunteering ended earlier than expected because the house became unavailable due to an Airbnb booking. After only about a week into my stay, I had to rearrange my plans, find new accommodation and look for another volunteering opportunity.
