The Experience

I’m opening up my place in Afurada to someone who wants to be part of a genuine hands-on project. It’s a special area with a mix of nature, history, and city life, and I’m at the very early stages of renovating the property into a small eco-community. If you enjoy creating, learning, and working with your hands, this could be a great fit.

I had a great experience staying with Jonathan. I helped with repairing one of the roofs on the building. It was very easy to work with him. Jonathan was a amazing host.

Jonathan was a very welcoming and warm host. He feels passionate about his project and doesn't fail to inspire. Unfortunately I had to leave earlier due to health but even for the short time I was there I enjoyed having my tiny part in the project.

Jonathan was extremely generous and kind to me. I had a wonderful time and he made sure that I was taking part in a project that I was I personally passionate about. What a wonderful place space to stay and engage in. You really feel like you're in a true Portuguese neighborhood. The neighbors are extremely friendly, and I learned a lot.

Staying at Jonathan's place was a really good experience overall! The location is great, quiet area close to the riverside and the beach, but still just a few bus stops from the city. The tasks were not too much and clothes and equipments were provided! It was hard to get used to the cold showers, but on hot days it was quite refreshing:D Jonathan communicated everything very well, made sure we feel comfortable and welcomed! He suggested good places in Porto, invited us to his activities and had good talks with us. Hope i can go back in a few years and see hows the place:)

Jonathon is a great host! He is super lovely, He always puts in an effort to show you some cool places in porto, and participate in activities with his friends.I felt welcomed the moment i arrived. Gaià is a nice area, the work is not alot, and johnathon is very respectful about it. I really enjoyed my stay. The only thing i would say is that the work hours couldve been a bit more clear, so it is easier for you to plan your own activities. But this is only a small thing, and is very easy to fix with more communication. I recomened to stay here! If you have any questions feel free to contact me
