After 10 years working at a College in Vietnam as a educational manager, a consultant for the students at the high schools in the whole country to help them with their career orientation, choosing good universities and colleges, choosing suitable careers for themselves after leaving school; as well as a direct organizer for the students' movements to improve their soft skills required in their learning and working processes, such as communication skills, teamwork skills, job interview skills, event organizing skills,... Seeing the importance of education, the necessity of the soft skills, I decided to get Vietnamese and international volunteers to live along with my family, and I have coordinated with the other local social organizations to organize the English classes, life skill classes,... free of charge to the students or at low cost for the local people and the people in the surrounding areas, so that the students may have the opportunity to continue learning from the experiences of advanced education, to help them to orient themselves, live with responsibilities, take care of themselves, their family and have practical contributions to our society. For nearly 4 years, every month our house always receives an average of 5-12 international volunteers who come to help teach English, taking care of orphans, the people with disabilities,.. and teaching the other essential soft skills. With the aim of expanding the scale and quality of the programs, events, .. to ensure the stability and more long-term benefits to the community, we always welcome and look forward to the support from the organizations and volunteers from the countries around the world.

Overall I had a good experience at Dung's Family. From the accommodation it takes about an hour by bus to get to the center of Hanoi, which made it only possible to explore on our days off. The positive of location is that you really get to see how the local people love in the village. Most of the students we taught were very young and we weren't given very much guidance on what to teach, so it at times it was challenging. Also I only stayed for one week, so I had to pay for the room each night and for $5, it would have been possible to get a hostel in the center of the city.

What a beautiful experience it was to volunteer and stay with Dung and his family. Bean and Mark are great kids and it's awesome to expend time with them. The classes can be challenging sometimes, but with the time you learn how to handle it. The other volunteers were also amazing. I had an incredible time. Thank you, Dung and your beautiful family for such great memories. I'll be back soon!

Living with Dung’s family it’s been a great experience. He and his family are very kind. His wife cook very delicious Vietnamese food for the volunteers. About the classes I had a very good experience even if some times can be a bit caothic and unorganized, but kids are lovely and you feel so good when you see a big smile on their faces, as they are happy to know that they have done a good job.
Thanks for all Mr Dung, hope to see you again!

The time with Dung and his family was great! I teached English to children and spent time with disabled children, children with Down syndrome and autistic as well, which was a huge experience and absolutely recommendable! I spent most of my free time in the village, which was also a great experience, because there is a lot of contact with locals. So just join!
