B&B TREKKING Y SENDERISMO

Welcome to our Bed & Breakfast in the heart of Choachí!
What do we do? More than just offering a place to stay, we create experiences designed for renewal and balance. Our plans include mountain and páramo hikes, guided bike tours, bird watching, yoga sessions, body massages, beer workshops, visits to the region’s coffee farms, and more; we have a wide variety of activities to make the stay of our guests unforgettable. We are committed to providing a personalized experience that makes our guests feel at home from the moment they arrive.

Choachí is located just an hour and a half from Bogotá in the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia, and captivates with its natural charm characterized by different thermal floors and a great variety of waterfalls, including the highest in Colombia: La Chorrera, with a length of 590 meters. Surrounded by mountains and páramos, it is an ideal destination for those seeking to reconnect with nature and enjoy authentic hospitality.

Our B&B has a floor of private rooms, perfect for couples and friends, as well as a floor with a shared room. Each floor is designed with common areas, and we have a landscaped patio and a dining room where we serve homemade breakfast to our guests.
It is located in a quiet area of the town, just three blocks from the final stop of the public transportation coming from Bogotá.

My name is Connie Llanos, manager and owner of the Bed and Breakfast. I studied psychology and later specialized in Do no Harm and Peacebuilding. I have extensive experience in social projects and individual counseling. I trained as a wellness and nutrition coach and have also advised people on improving their self-care practices. I got into tourism through this focus on wellness: by changing my self-care practices, I began hiking. In a very important experience in my life, while hiking in Bolivia, I longed for nearby places to stay so I wouldn't have to return so quickly to the city and, especially, to stress my body. So, when I moved to Choachi three years ago and started hiking, I wanted to create a place to share with others—a place where I would have liked to stay during my impactful experience in Bolivia. Many things have happened since then, and now I understand that the focus on self-care is also about caring for the planet we live on. So, we are creating a net working in Choachi to improve our land care practices and inspire tourists to seek new ways to care for their relationship with the environment, culture, and personal well-being.

A very good experience with Connie and her hostel project in Choachí. I mainly worked in communications, social media, and developing new business opportunities. The project has a lot of potential and I really enjoyed discovering the territory and working on a project committed to responsible tourism. Many thanks to Connie for the trust and the warm welcome. I would recommend this experience to anyone motivated, autonomous, and eager to contribute!

Thank you, Esteban, for your contribution and for the way you connected with the project and with the territory. It was also valuable for us to have you on this first volunteer experience focused on business development. We hope to continue strengthening this role so that future volunteers can contribute especially in sales, opportunity development, and building partnerships for our experiences. Thank you for being part of this process!

I had an amazing experience working as a marketing volunteer at the hostel. Connie is a fantastic host who is very hospitable. She quickly brings you into the community of the hostel as well as the wider community of Choachí. She gives you everything you need to make the volunteering experience worthwhile. the hostel itself is beautifully designed, well located in the town and is easy to reach from Bogotá. Regarding the work, it's fun, very flexible and the agreed hours were respected. Lots of love for this the hostel! :) <3

Connie was a very friendly and helpful host.

She introduced me to local restaurants and people which helped me feel more connected with Choachí.

I was unfortunately quite unwell at the start of my time with Connie (and likewise arrived after 5 months of travelling), but she supported me and helped arrange an appointment with a local doctor, so she really does take care of you and want the best for her volunteers!

The running of the BnB does require high standards, which unfortunately due to my illness and general fatigue, I couldn’t give my best, but Connie was very understanding.

A peaceful volunteer experience in a very quiet town, ideal for disconnecting and enjoying nature.

The role includes content creation and general help like light cleaning or gardening when needed. The room is simple but spacious, and food nearby is affordable. Internet is unstable, so a backup connection is recommended for remote work.

Connie is a kind and welcoming host who makes the experience very enjoyable. Highly recommended for those seeking tranquility and reconnection.

I spent a month at the hostel and it was an amazing experience. The place is beautiful, quiet, and welcoming. Connie, the host, prepares delicious healthy breakfasts every morning and is full of energy, ideas, and kindness. The work includes helping with room cleaning and creating social media content, with plenty of independence and creative freedom. The village, just 1.5 hours from Bogotá, is safe, green, and peaceful — ideal for reconnecting with nature. Highly recommend this place and its wonderful host!

I loved both the public and the private message. That idea hadn’t occurred to me before—honestly, I had so much more to say about your work with us, and I could have expressed it in a longer private note… In short, I truly enjoyed being part of a team with you. I felt as if we had already known each other, both on a work level and a personal one.
Thanks again
