Bosques de Cacao Yariguies

The hostel is in the middle of the nature, in the heart of Santander state in Colombia, close to a natural wonder, the National Park "Serrania de los Yariguies". Here we enjoy sharing our passion for cocoa cultivation and making artisan chocolates with everyone. We have a lot wild free birds and some cows, a lake with fishes, sheeps, and horses.

We are looking for people with a big heart and the capacity of improvise because we are helping to a rural community to organize comunitary tourism around our Andes mountains.

You can find us in google Maps as: "BOSQUES DE CACAO YARIGUIES"

We are a project where we welcome volunteers and people around the world, who want to know about cocoa harvesting and the making of chocolate. We are a family farm and enjoy the visit of people who come here to share our knowledge, our experience and elp us with the cacao plantation and abouth this in a real Colombian cacao farm.

It was a great experience! The farm is in a beautiful natural area. We learned a lot about the farm beans and were able to do many different tasks. We got 4 delicious meals a day and everyone was really friendly!

This is a great place to really get to know the Colombian culture and also about the farm and how important it is to the community! I learned a lot with Miguel and the whole family and you can tell that he really likes to teach, so enjoy that! I felt very welcomed by everyone and had a lot of fun!

I had such a good time! <3 The opportunity I got to learn about the farm, chocolate, nature, living and working on a farm was more than I expected. For me it was immersion in the culture in the countryside of colombia. I have grown so fond of the family and they welcomed me so warmly, giving me insight into their daily lives. The work and knowledge of Miguel and Sergio is really good and valuable, and an honor to get to know it. I am very greatful and recommend this experience to anybody seeking the pure and willing to dive in. (And to practice spanish obviously ;))
