La Vannière

My home was built in 1785 and is in the middle of the mediaeval part of this quaint little town. The village is surrounded by mountains, vineyards and a river, so it is in the countryside, but is also within walking distance of bars, restaurants and shops. There is easy access to reliable public transport.

The village is situated within the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park The park provides a habitat for more than 240 species of birds, in a stunningly diverse range of climate and scenery. It also provides a home for mouflons, successfully reintroduced from Corsica.

I am a friendly, warm, caring and intelligent person who also likes to have fun. You can expect to be treated with kindness and respect, but also as one of the family. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU CANNOT SPEAK ENGLISH, THIS POSITION IS NOT FOR YOU. IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO, OR DO NOT LIKE ANIMALS, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY, AS I HAVE PETS. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT I DO NOT PROVIDE A HOT MEAL FOR LUNCH - THIS IS SOMETIMES PROVIDED IN THE EVENING, BUT NOT EVERY NIGHT. Thank you!

My stay at Michele‘s has been truely amazing! The work was not hard to do and everything was as agreed :) The location is amazing, especially if you like move in nature (Michele has a bike and cool hiking spots close by). But there‘s also bigger cities you can get to by bus and train!
I will miss this little corner of the world with all it‘s inhabitants, including Lucy (the dog), Tybby&Zoey (the cats) and of course Michele 🫶🏻

Michele, along with Lucy, Toby and Zoe, have hosted me really well. The private bedroom and the wifi are amazing. Besides that La Vaniere is located in a beautiful (I mean really beautiful! I have been to Patagonia and this place is as beautiful as) regional park named Langedoc. We can ride Michele’s bike to many cities around through the bike lane (Voie Vert) that is among the hills and along the river orb.
I highly recommend the stay, specially if you want to learn and practice languages and if you enjoy nature. ❤️

Michele is a a very sweet person and I loved the time I spent there. The work is not hard to do and she really follows the working hours according to the platform. She is also very flexible about that.
I definitely recommend her place. I will miss Michele, Lucy, Tiby and Zoe (her animals) and the small village she lives in.

My time with Michele was such a wonderful experience, I decided to stay an extra week! From the moment I got there I was welcomed and looked after and I am so grateful to say I now have a home away from home ❤️
Michele was very flexible with hours and tasks. None of the work was too difficult, everything was well explained. Thank you Michele for your kindness, our wonderful discussions, good company (including your human and furry friends), delicious food and a wonderful two weeks. I miss you all already and I’ll be back ❤️

My time with Michele at La Vanniere has been absolutely amazing! It was truly a life-changing experience. My plan was to stay for 7 days, and I ended up staying for over a month, so I highly recommend it! There was honestly not one thing I would’ve changed about my stay with Michele and her three cuties (Luce, Tibbs, and Zo <3). The room was very nice! The work was not difficult (thoroughly explained), and I had more than enough time to explore the local towns and meet lots of new people! We had a lot of fun together! Thank you for everything, Michele<3. I’ll be back!
