I had the most wonderful stay with Michelle in Le Poujol-sur-Orb! I felt immediately welcome and it took no time at all before this place felt like home. Le Poujol-sur-Orb is a peaceful and slightly remote location that I recommend for anyone who is independent, who loves animals (cuddly cat likes to share the bed), and who is looking for a quiet volunteer experience near various hiking and biking trails. Buses are not the most frequent so trips to the city are better left for the weekends. Thank you so much Michelle! I would return in a heartbeat :)

Michele is an excellent host, ☺️You can feel comfortable discussing any concerns about your volunteering with her at any inconvenience. The place is nice and very quiet and it is relatively accessible to get to know the whole of the south of France. I appreciate your hospitality and I hope to return to the villa one day.

Work here wasn't easy. I came here however, with no experience in painting at all. I've learnt how to properly smoothen out walls, repaint them as this was mainly my tasks. Apart from those, I also fixed up some things here and there as a handyman. This part of France is pretty lonely if you only know how to speak English. However, the views are something special. I think two weeks at most is enough for your stay here. Michele provided me food at least once a day. So, you have to cook on your own and buy your own groceries while you can!

My stay with Michele was absolutely wonderful. She is such a warm and welcoming person and made me feel right at home - which wasn't all that hard because the place in general is so beautiful. It looks like right out of an illustration. The tasks were exactly what we agreed on beforehand, just some tidying up, painting and helping out in general. I had my own cozy little room and even met a few of Michele's friends and her daughter, who were also all very nice and welcoming. Hopefully I will be able to come back here again some day in the future!

I had a great time at the home, Michele and her pets are very good hots, I had a room with double bed just for myself, the work is variety according what she needs at the moment, basically I was helping her in the house, cleanings, walking with Lucy (dog), paiting and fixing small things. Michele is very flexible with the schedule which helps a lot for having a free time and days off, for small trips. The village is very quite and small, surrounded by amazing national Park, perfect for hiking, cycling and etc. I definitely recommend this place. Thanks Michele.
