Tendrías la posibilidad de conocer pueblos, paisajes, cascadas y rincones de Boyacá que pocas turistas tienen la posibilidad de conocer. Sería una experiencia única de compartir con la cultura boyacense y de perfeccionar el español (muy pocas personas en Paipa son bilingües). Y serías parte de un staff muy sociable con el cual contaras con amigos dispuestos a compartir aventuras 😊
En el momento el equipo está conformado por dos personas un profesor licenciado en Idiomas y una administrativa. Somos un centro de Lenguas nuevo en Paipa(Y el primero ;) ). El profesor es muy divertida y un apasionado por su profesión. Le encanta hacer las clases muy dinámicas y divertidas para los estudiantes. Ama la bicicleta y realizar caminatas en los pueblos cercanos. La administrativa es una chica sociable le encanta aprender idiomas y es la creadora del Instituto. Disfruta de la naturaleza y la comida local :D Ahora, buscamos unos voluntariados que tienen ganas de dar clases de inglés o ayudar a una empresa extender su alcance por las redes sociales. Se prefiere que los voluntariados tengan experiencia con la ensenañza o con la administración de redes sociales. (Right now, we are looking for volunteers who wish to teach English classes or help a small business grow its social media outreach. Volunteers with teaching or social media management experience are preferred.)

I've done other volunteers before, but this was my first experience teaching and it was really nice to connect with locals, definitely an interesting challenge to teach English to Spanish speakers when I don't speak Spanish so well, but I think I managed just fine in the end. The house where you stay is far from the city where the school is located, but it's very comfortable and there are frequent buses. Emilia, the host, is super sweet. The only problem maybe is that I was expecting 3 meals and 50k pesos per week is not enough to cover that. Overall though, it was a very rich experience :)

Mi tiempo en Lingo fue de lo más lindo para comenzar mis voluntariados en Colombia! Boyacá es un lugar lleno de hermosos paisajes y naturaleza! Emilia te recibe desde el primer día con una sonrisa y te hace sentir como en casa <3 yo llegue a Lingo para ayudar con las redes sociales, los horarios son bastante flexibles y el trabajo es tranquilo! Recomiendo mucho esta experiencia y más si estás buscando escaparte un poco de la ciudad :)

I had originally thought I would only teach at Lingo for 2 months, but decided that I loved the experience so much that I stayed for an extra 4. It was fantastic. The students are passionate about improving their English, Emilia and all of the staff are open-minded and supportive, and the town (Paipa) is beautiful and the locals are warm and friendly. I learned a lot of Spanish teaching at Lingo, learned a lot about my own language (English), and felt I grew as a teacher. It was an invaluable experience.

The whole experience at Lingo was very meaningful!
I learned a lot about Colombia and especially Boyacá state. Emilia is a very nice person, respectful and kind. The school is small and you will have the opportunity to meet all the students, who are adorable and smart. Chris is a sweet American teacher who teaches at Lingo and if you get the chance to meet him, he will cook for you on Sundays ;)
The Boyacá area is just beautiful and perfect to rest from big cities. Everything is close and super safe!
I recommend Lingo to everyone that is looking for a local and safe experience.

The experience was amazing! The opportunity to teach English, whilst practicing Spanish was superb! I do recommend it for those who want to spend time in the countryside, surrounded by nature. The house where you stay 30 min by bus from the school, a great house, individual room with high connection internet. There are benches to sit and enjoy a good reading in the garden. It's very idyllic one would say
I got along very well with the host, Emilia. She is super easy-going, easy to talk with, and polite. You can either speak English or Spanish, hence communication should not be a problem.
