We spent two wonderful weeks with Joe! He, his family, and friends were incredibly kind and welcoming. We learned about Malaysian culture, had enriching conversations, explored Ipoh, and gained practical gardening skills, including propagation, grafting, and pruning. The work was light (3 hours on weekdays, with weekends off). Joe was always happy to share local tips and help us. The house is well located, with bikes available to explore the neighborhood. We're very grateful for our first Worldpackers experience. Thank you, Joe! π

It was a very nice experience. Joe is a great person, very generous and kind. He always cared about our well-being and recommended beautiful places to visit and good food to try. The work in the garden was very rewarding, I learned a lot about plants and tasted different naturally grown fruits. Ipoh is a beautiful city with a lot to offer, you can get to know the local culture. I really recommend staying with Joe and meeting him.

What an amazing experience! Ipoh wasn't in our plans, but staying at Joe's house completely changed our perception of the place.
The tasks are easy to learn and manage over the days; we helped with watering the garden and the vegetable garden, planted saplings, pruned trees, harvested fruits, helped with the external and internal cleaning of the house and with the dogs' routine.
The tasks are managed daily by Joe, who always has clear and practical communication. What a wonderful and caring host! He made us feel at home and gave great recommendations about the city and lent us bicycles.
