Naughty Squirrel Backpackers
Located in Riga's Old Town, we have an awesome spot in a UNESCO world heritage site, next to some of the best spots in Town. With almost 6k reviews and a 9.8 average score, we are one of the highest rated hostels on the planet. We're known for big parties, awesome tours, the best staff and a super clean building.
We are world travelers ourselves, and love meeting people. That's why we do this job. We love the city and the opportunity to share it with our guests. This applies to our Staff and Volunteers as well, everyone here is super friendly and out going, and loves the hostel atmosphere. We're here to make friends and have a good time. We want you to be part of that as well.

Naughty Squirrel was my first volunteer experience and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I met so many wonderful people, the hostel was clean, organised, and there was always events and things to do. This hostel is very social, there was always guests to talk to and the team here is amazing. Alex was always very helpful when your doing your housekeeping tasks and Dārta helped in any way she could to make my experience amazing. The other receptionists were also very kind and fun! I would love to come back someday. Thank you Naughty Squirrels!!

I had wonderful time in Riga, work is quite easy and staff in the hostel is amazing. There are plenty of other activities besides sightseeing in Riga, Naughty Squirrel offers pub crawls which you won't forget thanks to best pub crawl leader - Lara. Thanks to this experience I've met a lot of great international friends, especially volunteers that spend this time with me.

It was my first experience of this kind.
My main objective was to improve my English.
I'm very satisfied with my experience in Latvia.
The youth hostel team is very young and dynamic.
The work is friendly between the teams.
I was also able to immerse myself in Latvian culture by living in the city's historic district.
A rich human experience that I recommend for anyone who wants to experience life abroad.

I had a great time at the Naughty Squirrel Hostel. I stayed for one month and could definitly recommend it. The work is Easy and the team was cool. Rīga is a nice city, where you can explore a lot.

I had an amazing time at Naughty Squirrel! If you are looking for a social place with great people and party, you should totally come here. The rooms for the volunteers were better than expected since the volunteers even had their own floor with private rooms. The local staff is extremely kind and welcoming. Also, we had to work much less than expected. The hostel is organized and clean and on top of that we had great advantages like free Pub Crawls and a free stay in a hostel in Tallinn. I can only recommend this so much and I am thankful for this opportunity and the memories I collected.
