At ADAP, we are, above all, a multispecies family made up of animals, local volunteers, and Worldpackers volunteers. 🐾❤️

Who are the local volunteers?
Local volunteers are those who are part of our family and reside in Catalonia. They dedicate themselves to caring for, walking, and attending to the animals at the shelter, which means you will be in almost daily contact with them. These wonderful companions will accompany you during your shift and share their experience with you. In addition, they will always be willing to help with anything they can so that your stay is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Currently, we have an active team of 30 volunteers, who organize to visit the shelter an average of twice a month or once a week in different shifts.

Everything we do is based on respect, love, camaraderie, and empathy, fundamental values that forge the foundations of the ADAP project. We believe that every member of our community, including the Worldpackers volunteers, brings something unique and valuable.

For us, the presence of the Worldpackers volunteers is essential at Villa ADAP. We will do everything possible to make you feel at home and enjoy an enriching experience, full of love and learning.

The only essential requirement, in addition to the desire to live this immersive and enriching experience, is that travelers have a valid travel insurance that includes coverage in case of accidents or medical emergencies during their stay. This is important so that we can all enjoy the experience with peace of mind. If medical attention is needed, it will be the insurance itself that will indicate to them the center to go to and the steps to follow.
