We follow an old Sámi tradition of treating our helpers as part of the family. The structure here is flat – everyone is equal. We don’t care if you’re male or female, young or old, dark or light – as long as you’re kind and not racist, you are welcome here.

Our winter season runs from December to early April, and we prefer helpers who can stay the whole period.
From April to November, we welcome stays from 3 weeks to several months.

We are a family-run company with 40 huskies. That means we really love dogs and spend a lot of time with them.
Having many dogs is not just a job – it’s a way of life.

You’ll become part of our family, helping care for the dogs, the children, and the nature around us. Life here is meaningful, full of fresh air, muddy paws, and unforgettable moments.

I really had an amazing time there ! I was welcome by the home's family, learned about dog sledding (yes, even in the summer) and about the sami culture and mindset. The dogs were adorable. The fact that socializing, petting and cuddling is actually useful to their training made my days fun and useful at the same time. The place is surrounded by beautiful and quiet nature, perfect to reconnect with myself. If you like peace, dogs and to learn about the local culture, go for it !

My time at the farm was a lonely one. I did learn about Sami culture and traditions, and did learn a lot about dogs, but some communication issues where hard to get past.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you learned about Sami culture and the dogs during your stay.

I’m sorry that your experience felt lonely at times. We did try to include you in activities and daily life on the farm, including fishing trips and social time together, but I understand that communication and different expectations may have affected the experience.

I wish you all the best in your future travels.

The time with the home was a very overwhelming experience. The dogs and the sledding are, however, really great and I miss every day. However, the experience was quite a challenge. The working hours on worldpacker are not fair at all and m. One works much more and has at most 1 day off per week. I learned a lot of new things in my 5 weeks, however I often did not feel seen. One is sent into situations without explanation and later scolded for his mistakes, and that is not very nice. One often gets reactions.

Thank you for your feedback.

I’m glad you enjoyed the dogs and sledding. I’m sorry to hear that parts of your stay felt overwhelming and that you did not always feel supported. As mentioned in the description, life here in the north can be demanding, but it should still feel fair and well communicated.

I take your comments seriously and will work on improving this.

Thank you for your effort during your time here, and I wish you all the best.
