Salto do Lobo

I am in the middle of nature, in the mountains at Portugal's highest point. Here you will have plenty of fresh air and a relaxing environment, with crystal-clear waterfalls around the houses and a unique landscape to enjoy and photograph. Serra da Estrela is the highest in Continental Portugal and also the only place in the country where we have snow in winter. Incidentally, there is a ski slope a few kilometers from here. There are many places in the region to explore and get to know that are worth it. My work here in the houses and with the dogs is simple and I am a very clear and flexible person. I have a family of Serra da Estrela dogs — lovely dogs that will have a lot of contact with you. I would like to welcome someone who appreciates this setting and helps me with simple tasks, in addition to providing a different perspective and experience. I also like to share my therapies: I practice meditation, dance and walks with the four elements, therapeutic massages

I am the only person on this work team. When necessary, I have a lady to help with cleaning the houses. You will be the only volunteer here. We have a calm environment and I hope you feel tranquility and relaxation, both with the place and with the people.

Sadly I had to leave me stay early, but I would recommend this place specifically to those who like nature. It is about 20 minute drive from town. But the river and views are very nice and peaceful. The dogs are wonderful and deserve all the love in the world, and they are so friendly to people!

I m truly grateful to the Serra da Estrela for welcoming me – such a beautiful place, with a river and trees – and even more so for the dogs: Megy, Fleur, Val, Simonao, Lince, Soleil, Nova, Tranquina, Pipo, Popoke, and the puppies. I carry them in my heart and in my prayers. I loved the dogs; they are incredible creatures—the most loving, noble, loyal and grateful dogs in the world. It was an important place for me because I will carry them in my heart, and I hope that many volunteers will spend time with the animals and have a wonderful stay in such a marvelous place—a paradise. Thanks Ana Pao

ana & paulo are welcoming, warm hosts, and the surrounding nature is truly breathtaking. however this experience required a good deal more patience than my previous experiences on worldpackers.

Ana and Paolo are kind and respectful people who always respected my space and made me feel ok. The place is great for those who enjoy nature and are looking for a quiet, the work is simple and usually doesn't take more than four hours a day. However, there were some issues with organization. Agreed schedules were not always followed, which sometimes made things a bit unclear. Overall, the experience was different from what I expected for my second volunteering opportunity, but I still learned something from it.
I wish Ana all the best and hope she finds the right people for this experience.
